Finance Firm Relocates to 24,000 s/f on LI

Financial services firm Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. has signed a 10-year, 24,771 s/f lease at The Treeline Companies' 1225 Franklin Avenue Plaza in Garden City, NY.

Kraig Silver, executive vice president of The Treeline Companies, made the announcement.

Jay Stweart of Grubb & Ellis and Roger Wooster of Sutton & Edwards, Inc. represented the tenant. Silver negotiated on behalf of The Treeline Companies.

Located adjacent to the Nassau County court complex and county seat - 35 minutes from Midtown Manhattan - 1225 Franklin Avenue Plaza is a five-story, 205,000 s/f Class A office building with meeting facilities, executive dining, a fitness center and on-site owner management.

It is connected to the 191,000 s/f 1325 Franklin Avenue Plaza, part of the four-building 520,000 s/f Franklin Avenue Plaza portfolio acquired by The Treeline Companies in March of 2007.

The new lease represents a relocation and expansion for Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, which was previously located at 50 Charles Lindbergh Blvd. in Uniondale, NY. "We are extremely pleased to welcome a firm of Stifel, Nicolaus' stature to our tenant roster. The four-building office complex at Franklin Avenue Plaza has always been an attractive alternative to Manhattan for financial services firms," said Silver.

"After evaluating their long-term office space needs with a desire to remain in the area, Stifel, Nicolaus & Company decided to relocate to our property because of the convenient location, hands-on management and responsiveness that The Treeline Companies provides for our tenants."
